Konica Minolta 28-100mm f/3.5-5.6 Maxxum D Series SLR Zoom Lens

This lightweight Konica Minolta zoom lens–weighing only 8.5 ounces–is great for close-up shots and is ideal for landscape, portrait, and travel photography. It includes a new distance-encoding device that enables improved calculation for flash exposure with Maxxum 5 and 7 cameras when used with Konica Minolta 3600HS D and 5600HS D flashes. This 28-100mm f3.5-5.6 D Series lens has a minimum focus distance of 1.6 feet (18.9 inches) throughout its zoom range. The lens is constructed of ten elements in eight groups, and it employs one aspheric lens element to combat distortion and aberrations and create beautiful images.     The lens feels lighter than expected making me think that it is made of plastic in China. But the sharpness is as good as the older Minolta zoom lens made of glass I bought ten years ago.
